Service Description

As a licensed massage and bodywork therapist you are presented with opportunities to help all types of clients and would prefer not to turn away those with special needs, if possible. This class will provide you with the skills to help women through their stages of pregnancy, individuals with special needs like autism, PTSD, scoliosis, hyper lordosis, osteoarthritis, certain eye conditions, the aging population, MS, and the effects of trauma, just to name a few. We will discuss indications, contraindications, benefits and proper assessment for the safety of the client. You will learn gentle therapeutic and side-lying techniques along with the use of props in the treatment room. These are techniques that can be easily integrated into your daily practice to open up and maximize the client populations that you can serve safely in your practice. This class is hands-on, so bring your table and hands-on supplies, plus 3-4 pillows, 4 hand towels, wear comfortable layered clothing for a hands-on exchange and practice. Be prepared to actively participate in order to level up your massage and bodywork therapy skills! This class is Saturday, May 16, 2026, 9 a - 5 p hosted by Zen Landing Wellness Studio, 4450 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing, NJ (near Atlantic City.) $200 per person per class.
